Nausea & Essential Oils

BACK TO THE BASICS: Nausea and morning sickness.

Many people know that ginger (and Ginger essential oil) is a classic natural remedy for nausea and morning sickness.

However, it is not the ONLY option for nausea relief. Of course, we LOVE our Digest Blend for these sorts of issues as well. Peppermint is another common anti-nausea remedy (I personally inhale peppermint when I am nauseated and it works really well for me), but it is not always recommended during pregnancy due to its stimulating nature.

If you don't like Ginger essential oil and can't do Peppermint essential oil, another fantastic option to help you cope with morning sickness is Coriander essential oil! It is gentle with a mild, sweet spicy aroma and has been used since ancient times as a digestive aid.

To use Coriander essential oil for morning sickness, you may place a few drops on a tissue or cotton ball and inhale directly, place a few drops on your abdomen and rub in a clockwise motion (diluting with carrier oil if necessary), or run it in a diffuser near you.

  1. Just heard oils expire. Can you tell me how long is the shelf life, as well as what happens if you use the oil after expiration date. https://www.oilevo.com
