RESEARCH: Lemongrass essential oil - not just for insect repellent!
This 2014 study investigated the effectiveness of Lemongrass essential oil for its topical and oral anti-inflammatory as well as its antifungal effects via vapor.
THE RESULTS: Potent anti-inflammatory and antifungal effects were observed in this preliminary study. The authors state that the study indicates that Lemongrass essential oil has a noteworthy potential for the development of drugs for the treatment of fungal infections and skin inflammation that should be explored in future studies.
